On the passing of Bryan Clauson

Auto Racer Bryan Clauson with Honorary Autism Society Board Member Temple Grandin

It is with great sadness that all of us here at The Autism Society mourn the tragic death of race car driver Bryan Clauson, who passed away late last night.  Bryan was a strong supporter of The Autism Society, and his best friend Ben Hodgin, who has autism, was awarded our Advocate of the Year Award at our recent Autism Society National Conference.  Lauren Stewart, Bryan’s fiance, joined with Bryan to host a major fundraising event for the Autism Society each year.  The couple also hosted a BBQ for a number of individuals on the autism spectrum each May at the Indianapolis Speedway where Bryan raced on Memorial Day.  Bryan was involved in a terrible crash during a race this past Saturday and died from his injuries late last night.   The Autism Society sends our collective prayers and thoughts to Lauren, and the rest of Bryan’s family. Bryan…Thank you for all you did to help so many and God Bless you for being the wonderful person you were.
