  • You might be an autism parent if you find yourself gloating over your one-way ticket out of the rat race of vying for spots at “gifted” and “magnet” public schools.

    You might be an autism parent if the very same family who spent years destroying your self-esteem now refers to you as My Hero or The World’s Greatest Mom.

    You might be an autism parent if a neuro-typical person asks you a question and you catch yourself answering with little laminated pictures instead of words:^)

  • You may be an autism parent if you talk to our child’s stuffed animals like she does because she tells you that these are her only friends.

    You may be an autism parent if you truly wish inside that one of her dreams(like the ones she see’s on TV s other kids get) like meeting her favorite singer, racecar driver, or baseball player in person because of who she is, would someday come true.

  • #6 and #11 hit so close to home for me.

    It’s nice to know I’m not alone. #1 & 2 are both prevalent in my home. It depends on the day.
