Life is all about memories, and one of the best ways to relive them is through photographs. Whether you are a budding Instagrammer like my son or a parent wanting to document precious family moments, the #BestBuyphotoworkshops are a fun way to learn to take better pictures.
About the #BestBuyPhotoWorkshops
The folks at Best Buy keep abrief of the latest technology and digital lifestyle innovations. So, it makes sense that in today’s era of photo sharing they would think of ways to help us improve our photography skills.
This year the company has launched specialty in-store workshops to help patrons sharpen their picture-taking abilities. These classes are usful for everyone regardless of age and technical background. So now, tweens teens and even seniors with very little technical knowledge can learn to take beautiful shots.
#BestBuyPhotoWorkshops for beginners
Are you one of those people who bought that pricey camera and has no idea how to use it or the person who ends up with blurry shots? The beginners’ workshop is perfect for you!
The in-store photography workshop right at your local Best Buy is FREE! And since these sessions are short ( 2 hours), they are appropriate for many preteens and teens even those with autism.
The class covers photography basics and provides attendees with the opportunity to chat one-on-one with a Best Buy Camera Experience Shop Expert.
This class is also a good fit for many of us who don’t like reading manuals or find new technology a bit challenging. In fact, the staff rep we chatted was incredibly knowledgeable. He took his time explaining my camera’s settings and answered my son ’s questions patiently.
#BestBuyPhotoWorkshops for intermediate level photographers
If you ’ve taken the beginners class and FINALLY learned the basics you are ready to take the next step. This July (the 28th) classes were held in Seattle, San Diego, Houston, Atlanta, Tampa, New York City and Minneapolis.
Missed it? No problem!
There are more workshops scheduled for this Fall and Winter.
All you have to do is sign up here and get notifications when upcoming Photography Workshops will be held.
The intermediate class is 4-5 hours long and includes a tour with four individual photo shoots lead by professional photographers. Participants get to try out a variety of camera lenses and accessories to see which ones fit best with their photography style.
These fun Tours at $50 per person include tips from professional photographer, transportation ( store to photo shoot location and back) lunch and even a goodie bag. And if you share your photos on social media with the hashtag #BestBuyPhotoWorkshops you can win a Best Buy gift card or a photography package!
I can’t wait till October to join the class with my son and pick up some tips myself.
