Identify Autism via a Brain Scan?

Fox news reports that British scientists  have claimed that their 15-minute test has proven to be more than 90 percent accurate in identifying autism in adults.  The scientists also believe that there is every reason to assume that the test will work equally well in children. Research leader Declan Murphy, professor of psychiatry at the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London, is correct when he says that ”the ability to base  a diagnosis on an objective biological test, rather than having to rely on personality traits, should mean patients get treatment more quickly.”  Experts are cautioning, however,  that more research will be required before any conclusions can be made about the test’s effectiveness.
