Meet the Autisable Team: Zoila Nusbaum

Working on building the Autisable Community we have a group dedicated people working steadily on the site to keep things running.  Much of what is done is behind the scenes by both the @thexangateam, and the Autisable Team.  This post is about one of the newest Autisable team members, Zoila:

Zoila began blogging as a way of coping with the diagnoses of her two boys and her husband with Aspergers Syndrome. She soon became involved with her local chapter, Tidewater Autism Society of America.  It was at the Autism Summit in Virginia Beach Va in 2011 where she had the pleasure of meeting Joel Manzer.

Growing up in Gloucester Va, she was the youngest of 8.  She is no stranger to CHKD or to the medical world. She spent much of her youth in and out of CHKD, due to her congintal heart disease. Causing her to undergo open heart surgery & several pacemakers.

She decided to  homeschool her two boys 2 years ago. Since then, she teaches at one of the local co-ops. Much of her times is spent at various therapies for her boys, homeschooling, gardening, and being a self proclaimed artist.

You can check out her blog at, polyhobbymommy.com and follow her on twitter @polyhobbymommy
You can friend and subscribe to her blog on Autisable as well – HERE.

Stay tuned as we will highlight more of the Autisable team in the coming months.
