Top Parenting Podcasts

If you’re a parent, especially a single parent, then one of the most helpful things is knowing you’re not alone. This is where resources like podcasts can be a great help. You’ll get to know the hosts, and feel like there’s someone in your ears sharing the joys and the heartbreaks, every little success and the hardest of days. The great thing about podcasts as well is that you can take them around with you anywhere so, even if you’re doing the dishes at the end of a long, difficult day, you can always find a bit of moral support. Here are some top pics for parents.

  1. Josie and Jonny are Having a Baby With You

Josie and Jonny were not expecting to have a baby. They were using an app and avoiding the most fertile times of the month (one of the first things Josie recommends in this podcast series is paying for the app, rather than relying on the free version). Josie Long and Jonny Donahoe are two British comedians, who bring light, laughter, and genuine curiosity and warmth to the conversation about having a baby for the very first time. Whether you are a long-time parent, or this is your first foray into the world of babies, this podcast is so genuine and friendly that it’s guaranteed to bring a smile to your face (and maybe even a tear to your eye).

  1. The Economist’s Guide to Parenting

In their introduction, these guys acknowledge that this might seem like a bit of a strange mix – what can economists possibly have to say about parenting? But in this five, hour-long series, you’ll find some good advice, with a logical backbone from those who can advise you on the best places to exchange cryptocurrency https://swyftx.com/nz/ and your personal pension, and also have their hearts in the right place when it comes to caring for kids.

  1. Raising Strong Kids Through Divorce

While it’s something we all hope we, and our kids, never have to go through, it’s a fact that many kids will grow up in split households. It can be a lonely feeling, and there are different ways of choosing to handle raising your kids through a divorce, but this podcast will definitely help and support you along the way. Tasha Belix is a registered psychologist, and has been assisting teens and children for more than twenty years. Matthew Ball is a public speaker and registered divorce coach. With a combination of care, personal experience, and a wealth of professional knowledge, this podcast is ideal for helping you deal with this difficult time.

  1. The Modern Mann

A great all-rounder of a podcast, designed to be an audio-version of a men’s magazine, every year the presenters gather together and discuss their experiences of fatherhood. When they discovered in 2015 they were going to be parents (one for the second, two for the first time) they got together to record a series of podcasts about it. A great and necessary discussion of twenty-first century fatherhood.
