Adding Peace of Mind with Vivint

Several years ago my friend and Co-Host of Autisable Dads, Rob, talked about home security – and not necessarily in a way one would think.

Having a home security system for most families is about protecting one’s home and loved ones. For an autism family? Well, it is that… but so much more: Peace of Mind.

My biggest concern when dealing with a security system is cost. It can set someone back several hundred, if not thousands of dollars in terms of equipment and service fees. Enter, Vivint Gives Back.

Since chatting with Rob, we’ve not only been a part of this program, we’ve encouraged other autism families to do the same. Especially families that have children who have a tendency to elope.

The discounts and affordability by being a part of this program has allowed many families more peace of mind, as well as provide more independence for their child.

With 24/7 video surveillance, families can keep an eye on their kids where they normally hang out in their homes, and outside in their yards. And with the alarm on, there is an instant notification when a door or window is opened. This has proven helpful for families whose children have elopement issues.

I can’t express how well this program and Vivint has helped our family, and I thank Rob Gorski for bringing it to my attention.

If you contact Vivint and decide on using their services, click here for an extra discount.
