#BestBuy #GE_Appliances Premium Finish Sales Event

After living in our home for over two decades my husband and I decided we need a mini kitchen remodel. Nothing major like changing cabinets or floors to tear my hair out. We just wanted to update our tired appliances.

Sounds like a quick compromise but as it turns out it lead to a big headache. We disagreed on the finish color.

It is all about the appliance finish

After watching all the remodeling shows on TV my husband loves the stainless steel look. So much so,  that every time we are in a Best Buy store he stops to examine all the stainless steel refrigerators like they are the trailer for an upcoming blockbuster.

On the other hand,  I am probably one of the few people on this planet that not too crazy about stainless steel.

For many reasons.

First I’m more of a black and white kind of gal.
I dress in black and white, decorate my homes in black and white. You get the picture, right? So it should come as no surprise I’m no fan of the stainless steel look. In all honesty, I’ve found it a little too industrial for me.

Furthermore, from the little I know about stainless steel it seems like a pain to keep clean. At least the older models were. I’m not a person to spend half my day wiping my kitchen from fingerprints and food smudges. So anything that requires that much attention isn’t welcome in my home!

I’m obsessed with #GE’s black stainless finish

Guess I wasn’t alone in my reluctance to go stainless!
After listening to shoppers the folks at GE came up with cool premium finishes for their appliances. Their innovative finishes are a great alternative to stainless steel. They have bold black stainless, stone-inspired slate and distinctive black slate. Have you seen the colors?   They are beautiful and can enhance any kitchen.

I fell in love with the black stainless finish and have my eye on a new oven, microwave, and dishwasher.
The high gloss black appliances have a sleek ultra sophisticated look without being too shiny or flashy. That look is perfect for those who want the stainless steel look but without the silver color like me. Next to my black granite counter tops, black marble floors, and white cabinets I know these GE appliances will look great.

But what really got me gushing is the fact that these finishes are low maintenance. The surfaces wipe clean in minutes and stay smudge free. Did I hear a collective YAY?
