We Play : The Ramones

I will freely admit to being guilty of just putting on Bindi Irwin or the Wiggles and not trying to broaden my girls musical education. Thankfully they have their Daddy who listens to a very broad spectrum of music and is very happy to share his love of music with them.

Which leads to moments like last week when Heidi was asking me to play ‘Rockaway Beach’. A quick search on iTunes pulled out the Ramones play list for Heidi and she started rocking away to Rockaway Beach. A chance encounter with some drum sticks in our musical instruments basket had Heidi asking for a drum kit on which to play. I was able to put together a little drum kit using boxes from the recycling and Heidi spent much happy time drumming away.
